Additionally, we carry out credit status checks along with enhanced annual DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service formerly known as CRB or i.e. Criminal Records Bureau checks) checks on all officers who will be assigned to certain clients, for example for those working with vulnerable adults and young persons.
Vigilant Security Services also operates a reserve team of officers available to deal with those ad hoc and last minute problems, not only experienced by our existing client base, but by new contracts / clients too. The purpose is two-fold – to provide officers who have the experience and gravitas to deal with all manner of situations, and to satisfy emergency requirements.
For example, in the last major civil unrest that took place in London and other cities across the country, we provided in excess of 85 additional officers to offer support to beleaguered business owners and private individuals wishing to safeguard their properties and assets.
In essence, we see as our mission the need to give all callers the confidence that their concerns and requirements will be catered for, and that the answer is always ‘yes’…and then find out what the question was.
While Vigilant Security is a commercial enterprise, we continue to give significant financial support each year to the charitable work of the Save the Children to help suffering children around the world.
