Why Event Security in London Needs Professional Planning
London events bring large and mixed crowds, busy transport links and venues with strict licensing conditions. Gatecrashers, crowding at entrances, alcohol-related disorder, theft of equipment and medical emergencies can all disrupt an event in minutes if nobody has planned for them.
Many venues and premises licences also set conditions on security staffing, such as a minimum number of SIA-licensed door supervisors. A planned event security team keeps your guests safe and helps you meet those conditions.
What Our London Event Security Team Covers
Every event is different, so we build the team around your venue, guest numbers and risks.
- 01
Entry and Ticket Checks
Guest list, ticket and wristband checks at every entrance, with ID checks for age-restricted events, so only invited or ticketed guests get in.
- 02
Bag Searches
Consistent, respectful search procedures at entry points to keep prohibited items out without holding up the queue.
- 03
Crowd Management and Stewarding
Officers who manage queues, capacity and movement around the venue, keep exits clear and guide guests safely out at the end of the event.
- 04
Door Supervisors for Licensed Events
SIA-licensed door supervisors for events where alcohol is served, handling entry decisions, refusals and conflict calmly and lawfully.
- 05
VIP and Backstage Protection
Officers controlling access to backstage, green rooms and VIP areas, with close protection available for speakers, performers and high-profile guests.
- 06
Venue Security Before and After the Event
Guarding of staging, equipment and stock during set-up, breakdown and overnight, when venues are most open to theft.

Planning Security for a London Venue
- 01
Event Brief
You tell us the date, venue, guest numbers, timings and whether alcohol will be served or VIPs will attend.
- 02
Venue Walk-Through
We visit the venue to check entrances, capacity, queuing space, routes to the nearest stations and any neighbouring homes or businesses.
Many London venues sit next to homes and busy stations, so planning how guests arrive and leave matters as much as security at the door.
- 03
Security Plan
We confirm officer numbers, roles and timings in writing, matched to your venue's own rules and procedures.
- 04
Briefing and Event Day
Officers are briefed on the layout, exits and key contacts before doors open, then work through set-up, arrival and the event, led by an experienced team leader.
- 05
Dispersal and Debrief
At the end, officers guide guests safely out and towards transport, keeping noise down near residents, and you receive a report of any incidents.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide security for outdoor events in London?
Yes. Outdoor events in parks, streets and private grounds need perimeter control, managed entry points and patrols around the site. We plan the team around the site layout and any conditions set by the council or landowner, including cover for equipment overnight.
Can your officers work alongside our venue's own staff?
Yes. Many London venues have their own duty managers or in-house teams. We agree roles, contacts and procedures with them before the event, so our officers and your staff work as one team on the night.
How far in advance should I book event security in London?
As early as possible, especially for large events, weekends and busy periods such as summer and December, when London venues are fully booked. Early booking leaves time for a venue walk-through. For a last-minute event, call us and we will confirm availability.
What is Martyn's Law and does it affect my event?
Martyn's Law, the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, will require venues for 200 or more people, and events for 800 or more, to have procedures to reduce harm from a terrorist attack, with the SIA as regulator. The duties are expected to apply from 2027, after an implementation period. Our officers work to your venue's search, evacuation and lockdown procedures.
Do you provide security for private parties in London?
Yes. We provide private party security in London for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and private functions. Officers manage the guest list at the door, keep uninvited guests out and deal calmly with any problems, so you can enjoy the event.
